Food Baskets For Sudan

(1) About the Campaign:

As the war that began in Sudan enters its third year, many of our brothers and sisters there are facing extreme suffering due to the devastating war in their country. By the grace of God, Jihad Relief and Development has continued to support them during their crisis by providing urgent relief, especially food supplies.

Continuing these efforts, Jihad Relief and Development is launching a project to provide 5,000 food baskets for distribution to displaced and needy families, bringing joy to their hearts and helping them cope with the harsh living conditions they face in displacement.

(2) Objectives of the Ramadan Food Basket Project:

1. Providing 5,000 food baskets to families affected by the ongoing war in Sudan.
2. Assist displaced Sudanese families.
3. Strengthen bonds of love and solidarity among Muslims, standing with the people of Sudan in their time of hardship.

(3) Contents of the Ramadan Food Basket:

10 kg of flour

10 kg of sugar

5 bottles of oil (1 liter each)

10 packs of vermicelli

5 cans of tomato paste

5 kg of chickpeas

5 kg of lentils

5 kg of rice

(4) Project Implementation Areas:

Food baskets will be distributed in various localities of Northern State, Sudan, where displaced families are concentrated:

1. Dongola Locality – 800 baskets
2. Al-Golid Locality – 300 baskets
3. Al-Borqiq Locality – 500 baskets
4. Dalgo Locality – 200 baskets
5. Halfa Locality – 200 baskets
6.      Read Sea State  – 1500  baskets
7. Nile River State  – 1500 baskets 

(5) Financial Cost:

1. Cost of one food basket: $50
2. Targeted number of families: 5,000 displaced families
3. Total campaign target: $250,000
